Minnkannens Social Enterprise and Economic Development Hub SEED

Muncey, ON

The project is a mixed-use commercial / retail building occupying one storey managed by the Thunderbird Trust. This facility will serve as an incubator for First Nations Businesses promoting entrepreneurship among the band members.

The building will be a mix of office space and retail store frontage. The main structure is a heavy timber post and beam structure supporting a cross laminated timber (CLT) roof. There will be abundant glazing to allow natural daylight to all areas of the building. A clerestory ventilation structure will bring in natural light to the center of the building and provide natural ventilation.
