Join our dynamic team in North Vancouver and contribute your creativity and expertise to bring together Indigenous ways of knowing and western design.
Formline is founded by Alfred Waugh, one of the few registered First Nations Architects in Canada. We use the local culture and natural landscape as fundamental elements, designing unique mass timber buildings across the country.
Our studio, located in North Vancouver BC, provides full architecture services, master planning, feasibility studies, sustainable design, and interior design. Our projects vary from an 800 sq ft housing project for remote Indigenous communities, to the 136,000 sq ft flagship Saskatoon Central Library. We have been recognized nationally with prestigious awards, including the Governor General’s Award for Architecture and 2023 Award of Merit from Canadian Architect.
Our designs tell stories, caring for the culture and landscape they will live in.
Each design is uniquely crafted, from community housing to cultural centers.
We are known for our use of wood and mass timber construction.
From master plans to construction, from small to large, from Vancouver Island to Nova Scotia.
We are friendly and relaxed, building a space for each individual to be creative.
Contribute to our boutique firm no matter the role.
